Here's the skinny...

This summer I have been invited to take a trip with a group to Tanzania, Africa, a dream come true in MANY ways! We will be working alongside Egon Falk (nlo.bk) and DCF (Dream Child Foundation.org) to help serve 2 orphanages in the country. We will be taking a team from a bible college in Alabama and are planning to be with that team for a total of 8 days. P1: The first part of the trip is going to cost $3,000 including airfare. P2: I have been invited by the founders of DCF to stay an additional week to help get updates on the individual children at Hayley’s House (the ministry orphanage). The second part of the trip, will be an additional $350. In total I am looking to raise $3350 before June 23rd.

Here's the part where this blog comes in...and why your reading it!

I am looking to raise support for the trip and have created this blog to keep everyone interested in donating, up to date with my progress as I raise money to go & to update you whilst in Tanzania!

I firmly believe in the power of community and it takes an entire community to help bring change. I want everyone to feel as though they are going with me and really wish that you could come along too! It's my heart to see each of you connected to this trip and to feel as though your as much a part of it as I am. One of my favorite quotes is from Hellen Keller, she says " I am one, but still, I am ONE, I cannot do everything, but still, I can do something....and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the SOMETHING that I can do."

I know that this opportunity is truly one that many people dream of, I am one of those people. It really feels surreal to say that this is all happening and the only person I have to thank for it is Jesus! Please stay tuned for more information and check back often for updates and all the options you'll have to help support in this trip!

Blessings! xoxoxo
